Winners of any of the lotteries conducted by the PCSO are exempt from paying any taxes on their winnings.

For the time being, it is limited to brick-and-mortar locations exclusively. The Revised Penal Code of the Philippines permits lotteries, and Republic Act 1169 grants the PCSO control over the industry so that it can operate without competition.
